Phil Lambert was born in Christchurch, New Zealand, and started learning the clarinet at the age of 11. Quickly taking to music, Phil fell in love with the clarinet and was soon offered a music scholarship to high school where he furthered his music education learning Saxophone, Flute, Piano, Guitar, Music Theory, and Composition. With his love of music fully cemented, he completed his Degree in Music from the University of Canterbury, New Zealand in 2001. After completing his degree, Phil relocated to Melbourne, Australia where he continued his musical career as Composer, Educator, and Performer.
Phil has performed live across Australia, appeared as a guest on various radio stations and podcast channels, and composed music for Feature Films, Documentaries, Film Trailers, Short Films, Media Projects, and TVCs. Phil has built a successful private woodwind teaching business in Melbourne and was the creator of the award-winning learning tool, Classical Fingers which is now helping students around the world improve their technique on the clarinet.
